So, 10 days of vacation was great! My bro was as bad as me when starting SC2 so I didn't even bother with the replays... At lease I gave him a strategy book and showed him how to play (well, bronze league play that is haha).
Not sure if any fancy games will take place during the weekend but maybe Monday (not Tuesday as I'll have to go to Helsinki for my last weeks work).

Just got back from the Stockholm Invitational and wow, it was great fun (better then any hockey game I ever attended!), I'd be willing to put in some travel to experience that again. Ok, back to the tournament - All the Swedes were knocked out prior the finals, only SjoW entered the semi's (my new terran idol btw, 32kill Banshee FTW!!) unfortunatly. The final game so AWSOME, White-Ra (0 losses) was ahead with 2-0 vs MC and it turned: 2-2 Both playing very good and it was fair matches, the one whom played best that game won, straight up! Then MC decides to proxy 2gate in the final game, I was out of breath... not really a honest way to win a tournament in my book.
If MC was so good he should not have to cheese to win
If I have time tomorrow I'll try and find both SC2replay files and videos for all games, they are all worth watching except the final match of the finals.

The war will now be focused at keeping that spot, if the unforseen power of the universe would promote me to Silver leage I guess we restart and aim for 1st place again.
Manage to do 8 matches with a 87,5% winrate (7/8 wins that is you scienetists of math!) and as usual I won't post any comments tonight as I have to go to work tomorrow >.<

MM + somewhat FE, early aggression trying to contain. He did MM MM+tank, he did get his base up. He did some banshee harass (quite successful) – dropped in his base after banshee harass but it was not so successful. MM push again on his expo and we traded attackers vs defenders. Another drops (lost most) but also pushed and managed to take him out. gg

MM+FE again (but with bunkers) – camped an SCV in his base, found a proxy pylon in my main… but manage to take it out. He was going 4gate (with slow push) and did a proxy expand. I dropped in his main (and he saw it coming) and I took out some stuff meanwhile he pushed with 13 stalkers, 3 zealots and a Colossus – but he basically only got the bunkers down… gg
18 TvT Shakuras Plateau L
2rax+FE – he turtled and did mass tank… tried a drop (but got shot down before anything landed) – ran my army into his tanks a few times. I played bad and should have gone more tech (BC or something) and expanded like crazy… gg

One of my better matches for the night, 2 rax FE having mapcontrol – he did not expand (somewhat turtle without tanks with only Upgraded MM's). Setup tanks "high ground", some bunkers and waited for his push – managed to sandwitch him between the tanks/bunkers and my army (since I saw him coming). Countered after his push and it was gg

He did a VERY fast expand and turtled (tanks MM) – I did 2rax expand into MMM and dropped in his main – killed a lot of shit. My second drop only had marauders so not so good against his banshees… Pushed with 30 Marines/20 Marauders, 2 thors and 5 tanks… gg poor guy, was playing his placement matches…

MMT for me – expo and contained him. He exposed without me seeing and harassed with banshees (quite successful). Parked some tanks outside his main and used a medivacs for vision and took out his main. Found his expo and took that down also… gg

MM 2 rax bunker expand – he did 3gate, expo, colossus. Stale game, I expanded to 3rd, he pushed with a 200 army and I come out on top with 130 vs 60 food - gg

After the wonderful bullshit RL stuff (visit to STHLM aquarium) with the kids and my mother in law, I got a few min to play a few games (and test the stream!). Started up with a 1v1 that got me 32points then Dempa logged on so we continued with 3 2v2 matches (+33 points).
TvZ -15 - Backwater Gulch
Well, first I was really suprised that I got to play this game as I have is as one of the maps I set as "non-preffered", he was also spawning as random. But holy crap, that's a great map for me with my 2rax (maruder+bunker) expand with siege tank follow-up into medivac drops (marines) and thors... anyway, he was a "random" but I walled off going marauder heavy - saw his drone on scout so i pushed out when I have enough men (and stim). When I was going down the ramp I got rammed by banelings, doh! >.< so, tanks + banshees - expand. So far so good, even took out his expo with the banshees & dropped in his mineral line - did and push with tanks and MMM and it was gg - banelings was not so effective when army was split in 3 (moving forward slowly with the tanks) - gg
The 2v2 is Dempas area of expertise (since I basically on suck on macro and is in the way lol) - 2/3 wins. I streamed all games except the first, it crashed for some reason (think livestream has some network issues) and it's for anyone to view at www.livestream.com/TBLE

And just like that, I'm famous... today there was a article about the upcoming Starcraft 2 tournament in the Swedish "Evening post", Dempa read it and called me instantly. He knows I have been bugging that poor guy at dreamhack organizing the event (both mobile and text messages) and is pretty sure one statement is based on me: "... det är typ it-snubben, 38, som ringer och frågar var han kan se en match tillsammans med sin fru..." (ENGLISH: ...it's like the IT guy, 38 that calls and asks where he can see a game together with his wife..." OK,

So... Dempla logged on while I tried my 2rax expand build and we did a few games (I know I will have better luck with bronze players... and NO, I won't upload those replays FFS!) Right... then we decided to do some 2v2, it's great fun (and not as serious as laddering 1v1) - total score for the night is OH WAIT, I forgot something! We did a qualify game that we won... and ended up in Platinum 2v2 league >.<
So, total score (including qualify, that does not give any points but it's still a W or L game...) 6/8 wins and +87points! I wont comment them but maybe I can get Dempa to... now that we are passed gold ; )

MMM + tanks (and bunkers) – did some pushes initially (and got raped) – but he never countered and allowed me to expand and get tanks. Managed to trade maybe 15-20 MM for 4-6 infestors (YAY!). Honestly I have no idea how I pulled this off but 8-9 sieged tanks did miracles to his roaches and I moved in slowly just tearing him apart (he threw burrowed roaches from behind my army, mutas harassing the MMM+tank ball and I just took him out (he was 3/3 and I was 3/2 in ground upgrades) – this one felt REALLY sweet as I was expecting to get raped and felt behind the entire game… -gg!

Fastexpanded and almost lost early game to marine+tank push – threw my army at his siege tanks (it wouldn’t be a TvT if I didn’t lol) – but I managed to say ahead in food count, did some drops – took out his two unguarded expansions and that was pretty much gg. I think Ole played great and we chatted a little bit afterwards and I added him to friends list (maybe some TvT training…) - gg

MM transition into MMM+Thors – we did some poking – I early expanded (so did he but I did not see it), I did a non-successful drop… (doh!) and he blinked into my main with 10 stalkers, ran away before I could smack him… rushed units and pushed towards his main, had a small engagement mid map and we both went for a base-trade I'd say… I came out on top - gg

My worst TvZ game ever… MMM+tanks – got my ass handed to me and I was like 130ish when he pushed with his 200 army – gg fucking hate banelings… and mustas… and infestors… and all the goo

MM + tank (bunker wall off) – he pushed with zerglings (took out two bunkers) – next push was roaches, same shit – I then pushed and it was GG (but I didn't realize he left the game so I kept playing >.< )

Had MM + wall off bunker when he pushed with 10 Marines and 2 tanks, sieged outside my ramp – scanned and I was in a lot of trouble. When everything was dead he unsieged and went back to his base, I stimmed two marauders and took out his tanks. Expanded as I figured he just spent all he had, he also expanded. We met mid map I "won" and kept pushing, before attacking I dropped behind his expo and pushed from two locations (he floated expo into main). Tried to contain but got cloaked banshees as a bad surprise and jumped into the medivacs and ran. He pushed with all he had (into my sieged tanks)… then I dropped almost my entire army in his main and lost a lot (well, he did also) but he was very crippled (food blocked). Setup two fortresses and sieged tanks – so I took the back door and killed everything (104 food vs 3) - gg
14th Scrap Station TvT
I figured I'd try the setup I got killed by SOOO many times… marines + bunker at ramp with 3 sieged tanks (massive fail in macro… lol) – then expand to island and just try for a timing push (and if failed do the eco game). Parked my scout scv by his natural, took both XT (vision feels gooood) – we both expanded, I threw a banshee at his turrets, he pushed (that I did not see) while I took the shortcut and took out his expansion. If we would I met mid map I would have lost ; ) – but all he got into my main was 2 marauders (badly damaged, should have killed them with SCV's). I was standing outside his main with what I had left – SHIT he has tanks guarding his entrance – I was sure, BOOM BANG (but didn't really see where the shots landed) – I backed off (to try and contain his natural) but it was MY tank making all the noise (LOL FAIL!) – could have taken him out easy at that time… he made units (MMM+thor+tank) , I expanded to my natural – he pushed and he lost a lot, I counter and lost what I countered with… then I dropped 16 marines in his main by his supply depots (from my island expo) and he gg'ed. gg!!! (this one felt really good, last game of the night hehe)

Played like an idiot (he went early colossus) and I just wasted my army on his ball... gg

Again, MM and ran into his seiged tanks(and marines) for no could I could not survive the counter... gg

Was trying to go MMM with some tanks, vikings and banshees... did a sucessful drop but got rammed when armies met up. Should have dropped more and been WAY more aggressive early game (as he FE'ed) - gg
Firth game TvZ win
Pushed early with MM and did an army trade, he did banelings and I got really defensive (going seige tank). Tried to do som drops for no good but my "final" pushed via his 3rd expansion (due to him having hydras), took out both expansion and pushed on main - gg
SHIT! I really hope the evening matches goes better for me, I'd really like to hit that top 10 early!

Niniwa was 24-0(!!!) in wins when he entered the final against another Protoss player (Kiwikaki). Won the first game, lost two in a row and took home the final game (total score 4-2 due to bringing earlier points vs Kiwikaki)! I will look for the replays and if I get them I post them for you.

So, first game of the season (well... for season 2 that is) is coming up. Monday and Tuesday evening (and possibly nights) will be commited to getting as many points as possible and (hopefully) getting a top 10 ranking early in my Bronze league. I'm currently ranked 84 (1 win 0points) - top 10 are between 95-171 points with 7-12 wins so I do belive that I can reach the top early. I'm not really sure how long a season is but if I make top 10 early in Bronze the risk is that I will be promoted to Silver and I'm not sure I want that. If I could choose I'd rather be top 8 end of this season then 62 in Silver... hmm.... oh well - I'll report when I have a scorecard for you to review ; )
PS Oh yeah, we are missing a lot of 2v2 comments from Dempa... since I'm technically still his boss mabye I can order in some overtime to get it covered, lol! DS
He opened with a 3gate, Robo, Forge and CC -> Warp Prism and I did my normal MMM -> push/expand (OMG! >.< ) but he had cannons and wall-off so I dropped and went for the minital line. When he saw me coming he went over with 2 Warp Prism to my base and dropped - 5 marines, 3 marauders and all my SCV's did a good job taking out his drop, gg!
PS "Aprils FOOOL motherfucker!" is not any aggo towards the other player Fuugus, he was a nice guy - I just had to let of some steam and I'm very happy about this win! ;) DS

Season 2 qualify - I have not yet played my qualify match because... I'm a little scared (I just don't want to lose it...) and have not had any committed playtime so I finished up the Outmatched achievement instead.
Screen setup - I modded my old 22" widescreen to pivot mode, just some drilling and violence made it fit just perfectly! With this I can have builds open while playing and not having to alt-tab

Have not yet played my qualify match for season 2, not have "guaranteed" game time so I spent some time on achievements. Will try to get the Outmatched achievements (it's all about the achievements and portraights lol).

All in all 207points, gained 8 placements to 16(!) and beating a 1st place bronze was a great way to end season 1!!

MMM + banshee, he was nagging at little in the beginning trying to contain me - but I took his army out and pushed (taking out the shortcut rocks while reinforcing) - pushed on his base took most units out and took out a lot in his base (I lost all ground of units to cloaked banshees). He expanded to island I pushed again cleaning out base (he float "ran") so I expanded, dropped on island and killed off his "panic" expansions... I played good and when saw he was 1place in his league (145 wins) I was dancing in my underwear (pic excluded)!!!

MMM + tank - he walled off far out (after natural) and did a FE - dropped with marines in his base (and expanded) and took out 21scv's in his base - pushed and took out some crap but he was siege defending so stalemate for a while, took the gold expansion and rushed his defense with MMM and it was over - gg!
Typhon Peaks TvP - Win
MMM + tank, put a hidden SCV in his base (barrack->marines + bunkers), hold off his Zealot push - he expanded (non-natural) and I didn't scout it as usual - dropped in his main + cheese marines (then he attacked my main but I hold it off) and expanded - took out his main, he started to wall-in his expo with cannons but I had to many units and took expo out - gg!
Tal'Drarim Altar LE TvZ - WIN
Zerg, always scary (fing mutas!!) hehe, did MM and took out his expansion on first push (while expanding myself) - if I microed better and didn't get baneling busted when walking into the main it would have been gg - 2nd push, baneling raped again so transitioned into MMM+tank+Banshee and at 29ish min he gg after being overrun and with no expansions left - gg!

Screwed my macro, did not make enough units and he was 4-gating (3M+2M vs 3Z+7S) - by now I was imploding out of anger (for playing so fing bad!) gg MF!

I scouted him and built barracks (Maruders) in his base - but he expanded like CRAZY with Planetary fortresses (3 command centers at 7min lol) 5 of them when he walked by my cheese barracks by mistake and I pushed. Took out most of his defense with the cheese maruders and wiped his main with main army. Took 5min to find the rest of his bases but he didn't have enough units any ware so it was an easy clean-up. Really funny game!

MM again(...) and we traded armies (his base around 11:30) I expended on push. He expanded, another army trade. 3rd push he came out on top but got medivacs and then he could not hold off my push (bad micro on his side also TBH)...

MM again, should have microed better on his first pushes but I managed to keep him from expanding (trading armies a few times) and won!

Parental leave on Mondays but got called into work (annoying shit, took 2min to fix for a 50min drive)... Talked to the wife yesterday about getting a 27" screen and she said sure (hmm...)!
So, I made my own Monday Funday and I'm now posting on a 27" Samsung P2770FH (looked best of the ones I saw in the store) but it would have been nice with a glossy screen (this is semi matte).
I doubt it will improve my SC2 skills but at lease it will look nice when I get my ass kicked. I also saw Dempa is trying hard for points yesterday and today so I'll update on that later in addition to that it's "game night" tonight so I'll try for a bunch of points as well!

I parked half my army outside his base to try and deny expansion but he got pissed at me for turtling (even without tanks...) and left game after his crappy push. Tried to chat a little with him afterwards and he claims terran wall-off and MMM is cheese...

First time on this map (always scary) and loads of expansion possibillities (given he was zerg I was really scared for a long game him having 4-5 bases when I was on two. Going MMM with a few vikings (hate those Mutas!). Decided to push after I scouted him and saw hydras and no close expansion - quick fight was 100vs102 and I came out 88vs30... gg
TvT Kaizen Tal'Drarim Altar LE
I always think TvT is scary cause it's hard to break a turtling terran with siege tanks when you have bad macro (and don't expand well)... so I tried going Banshee (didn't really know the build for it) and after his harrass with reapers (took 6scv's) I expanded. Then he pushed with MMM (marauder heavy) and took out my expansion (went from 78vs100 to 63vs59) - I just pushed with everything I had (a few MMM, Banshees and 4 tanks), killed his expansion and his entire army - GG!
Overall I'm pretty happy with todays matches - up 3 ranks (to 21) with +94 points for 3games!

So, after inhaling yesterdays lunch i rushed to my work computer (Thinkpad T400) and started a 1v1:
TvP Feagul on Shakuras Plateau
I opened with a wall-off 3RAX+Orb+"FE" (going MM) and he was going a little late 4-gate. After scouting him (to early) I kept the SCV in his base (out of sight) for a 2nd scout (saw 3 gates by then). He pushed at 10min but I held off with MM and 2bunkers and counter attacked with an overwhelming force, killing of his natural expansion and then main. He did have 2 dark templars but utillized them bad so WIN!
TvT Mimelli on Metropolis
Started with 2RAX+Orb+FE into 3RAX+2FAC (MM+SeigeTank) and he was going MMM(drops)+SeigeTank. I "camped" his natural and pushed with ST with scan and then flank attack with MM ending up killing his main... he did have an expansion up that I did not see and if he had turtled better it would have been a differnet outcome probably, WIN!
They started out with a multi-harass but we managed to hold that back and then crushed their faces with a good timing attack. We should have scouted more though.
Seing that we was facing two Z, forces the early scout. Scouted their 10 pools and managed to get my down at 11, due to some bad decision-making on my part (Trying to expand instead of
focusing on blocking the ramp with roach/queen) we lost it.

Will try hard to gain some points for those milestone (hoping for a top 25 medal) until the reset occurs. In addition (when not in the mood) I'm trying for the outmatched achievements and I'm on 1v4 Medium - this is hard if you don't cheese...
Tried MMM and attack expand, cannons at ramp. Peaked a few times and lost lots of units... He did some drops with Dark Templars in my expansion and main, pushed and I had no army. He wrote that I was a bad player (here you go!) and I said F U... No gg there... Then we talked after the match and he had 500+ games and still in bronze, so it was all good eventually ; )
He was turtling a little and I expanded, was MMM+banshee vs MMM with tanks and ravens. He was better but I tried a hidden expansion with massive marine army but never really had a chance. Should have more structures and pushed harder early game.
1st fight I lost by his base, 2nd fight he lost by my base (both MM vs ZeaStaVoi), 3rd I was poking his ramp and lost a lot and expanded, 4th held off a push but I came out better and pushed with MM (forgot to include the Medicas in the push) and killed him.

Was just informed (thanks Dempa) that the leagues will be reset, omfg(!) is this good or bad for the bronze experience?! Don't worry, it will only be 1 placement match and even if I would end up meeting a Master league player, he goes LD and I WIN! - that would not get me out of Bronze... (unfortunatly)
However, all the leagues/ladders will be frozen (you cannot get to Silver etc.) and you will just gain/loose points (incl. bonus pool) and raise/lower in your league... that means since I'm currently placed 26 (of 100) I have a shot to get a fancy milestone (click picture below for more details)!
Oh, well - I'll keep you updated and keep adding games and comments to them continuously

So, finalized some naming standards in addition to uploading all replays to google docs. You will need SC2 to watch any replay or provide me with an app that converts sc2replay files to actual videos – then I put them on youtube.
Wanted to play some yesterday but was a bit off, then Dempa logged on so I asked if he wanna try some 2v2? (I have only played 1v1 and 3v3 before). 5 qualify rounds (winning 4/5) and ended up in a new gold league, I played my very best the first 4 games, awesome when the macro and micro flows together.
The last qualify match and our first league match we got whooped, both played quite bad unfortunately - we called it and I did a 1v1 vs a equal terran - some bad (BAD) Banshee harass and then I panicked, rushed Marine+Medivac+Tank and pushed (this was about 15min into the game). He was turtling with 1 non-sieged tank, 4BC's and a few MM... so I won! - I love the feeling you get after winning a game and then going to bed...
